Cruise The Sky is the non-profit initiative led by Captain Angot to prepare the return of large rigid passenger airships. It is delusional to start a for-profit airship company without a solid grasp of the engineering involved down the line. It can only lead to deceived investors and a bad reputation for the emerging airship industry. The initiative works from First Principles, building knowledge from foundational truths. It gathers "people of good will" to create a solid network of engineers and draw a minimal viable project. Any hard working engineer or manager (aerospace, mechanical, software...) is welcome to join and contribute research documents and papers. Besides, online meetings are held during the year. Some research can be funded directly by the initiative.
Sufficient work must be done to evaluate the projected capital cost and operational costs of a large rigid airship, including its hangar, based on modern technology and manufacturing.
